A Vision for Transforming Rehabilitation

Dr. Vincent Huang, MD

For Dr. Vincent Huang, rehabilitation isn’t just about recovery – it’s about the journey and lasting relationships you build along the way. He is redefining post-acute rehabilitation, turning recovery into a dynamic community.

As an Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation of Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Huang is pioneering a new era of post-acute care, where every patient is empowered with the tools, technology, and support to redefine what’s possible after injury.

Before joining Mount Sinai in 2017, Dr. Huang led the Spinal Cord Injury Program at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, shaping care strategies that continue to impact patients today. His academic journey took him from the University of Chicago to St. George’s University School of Medicine, with specialized training at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a fellowship at Mount Sinai. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Brain Injury Medicine.

Dr. Huang is not just treating patients — he is building a future where rehab goes beyond recovery, creating a community, and providing opportunities for strength, mobility, and a renewed sense of self.
